WWM nursery in Malawi has had a massive impact on the lives of the orphans. It has given them an opportunity to access education, gain new skills and given them hope for a better future. This is something they would have been deprived of because of high school fees and long travelling distances.

The nursery has been very successful and feedback from the local people, guardians of the orphans and the village chiefs and elders has been very positive. The Chiefs have supported WWM by donating several plots of land for the project to be expanded.

The village elders, local people and the orphans have expressed the need for a vocational Training to assist the older orphans educational needs. This is because after the orphans reach 15yrs they often stop education because they cannot afford the town school fees.

WWM has begun vocational training school to met the needs that have been identified. We also plan to build a proper toilet/bathroom, kitchen and a school office.

This will enable WWM to provide a better service to the orphans, which will have a lasting long-term effect. This will also mean that we can increase the number of orphans we support. We anticipate the number of orphans we will provide support to will once the project is completed will be 750 children. In addition to this the building will double up as a vocational school in the evenings providing support and key skills such as sewing and agriculture to disadvantaged youth and teenage mothers who have little or no formal education. We anticipate the overall number of beneficiaries will be approximately 800 people.
